NHLP-EU aims to strengthen the position of the circus field in Europe by supporting future leaders to acquire and develop skills and competencies for strong leadership.

 

The NHLP-EU model for leadership capacity building involves peer collaboration, knowledge and experience exchange, mobility and expert shadowing. Ten emergent leaders with a desire to grow in their roles in the field of circus will engage in a 10-month programme, consisting of digital encounters, in-person events, and a 3-week transnational experience, in which they will shadow an expert within the sector.

 

We are therefore looking for professionals in the field, who wish to participate in the project as experts and host a NHLP-Eu participant shadow them in their home organisation.

 

THE PROCESS

The experts will be paired with their fellows by the project coordination team, after a careful process of selection and matching. Once paired, the expert and fellow will meet at our Kick-off event in Lund on 7th and 8th September 2023. Together, they decide how often they will check in during the 10 months programme and to decide on the best timeframe for the shadowing experience. The experts and fellows will meet again in Riga 19-20th of June 2024 for our concluding leadership conference.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The experts participating in the project are expected to: 

• Be available to travel to Lund (SE) for the kick-off event on 7th-8th September 2023

• Be available to travel to Riga (LV) for the evaluation event on 19-20th June 2024

• Be available to host a fellow for a 3-week shadow experience in the period between September 2023 and June 2024 

 

There will also be voluntary opportunity to engage in the publication of our leadership handbook and the creation of its material. 

 

TERMS

 

The experts will receive a fee of 1000 EUR
