In this seminar we discuss the concept of Freedom and how it may impact (artistic) leadership and models, leaders' formation and approach to their teams, and more. This seminar is moderated by NHLP-EU fellow Gaia Vimercati, with guest speaker Bauke Lievens, who will address her previous work on freedom and agency in artistic creation, with reference to the project The Circus Dialogues (2013-2023).
Freedom is often referred to as a concept of "being free to do whatever you like" or "having no restrictions". If we think closer at the concept of freedom, it is not absolute freedom we strive for, but the right conditions that work for us. The conditions which facilitate our wellbeing and best practice.
