In June 2024 New Horizons Leadership Programme ended the 10 months period of exchange between fellows and experts with the Leadership in Circus Conference, hosted at Rigas Cirks.
The conference brought together the partners and participants in the project, as well as regional and local community of professionals. Over the two days, we shared insights from the project, as well as visions for the future of circus leadership in Europe. Through lectures, roundtables, workshops, panel talks and informal sharing, professionals within circus connected over topics such as new models of leadership for a more healthy and equitable field, value-based leadership, sustainability and risk in performing arts, with an overall interest in what the future of circus leadership entails.
